Meet the Artist

Fay Ku is a Taiwan-born, New York-based artist whose figurative, narrative works connect past and present cultural histories. She is the recipient of a 2007 Louis Comfort Tiffany Grant and a 2009 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, with exhibitions nationally and internationally, including solo shows at the Honolulu Museum of Art (HI), New Britain Museum of American Art (CT), and Snite Museum of Art (IN).

Her work is held in collections such as the Academy Art Museum (MD), Asian American Art Centre (NY), Honolulu Museum of Art (HI), Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art (NV), New Britain Museum of American Art (CT), and The Wadsworth Atheneum (CT).

Ku earned her B.A. from Bennington College and both an M.F.A. in Studio Art and M.S. in Art History from Pratt Institute, where she is currently a Visiting Professor in Fine Arts, Foundation, and the Pratt in Venice program.
